Piney Mountain Orchard was founded in 2011 and is located in Gardners, PA. Historically an orchard, we are now a small vegetable farm growing high quality, delicious produce for the community. We use sustainable growing practices that focus on nourishing the health of our customers, our soil, and our natural neighborhood. We grow on about an acre of land and have two hoop houses that let us grow year round. We love our small scale!
Farm manager Megan Rulli grew up in Enola, Pa. In college she became involved with environmental activism, working in defense of forests and establishing a renewable energy fee for the college. After graduating she resolved to put her activist leanings into grounded efforts and took an internship at an organic farm. Starting at Wilson College’s Fulton Farm, she also interned at Weaver’s Way Coop’s three urban farms in Philadelphia. After a season partnering with friends to found and manage a 30 member CSA on Wild Winds Farm in Erie, PA, her family acquired the present Piney Mountain Orchard acreage. Excited to venture into a family effort, Megan settled in Adams County in 2011, and, with her parents, is dedicated to the hard work of tending for the land of Piney Mountain Orchard.
